Tonegawa Kasen Hiroba

In the early morning of November 28, 2025, at a public toilet in front of JR Numata Station in Numata City, Gunma Prefecture, a 69-year-old security guard encountered a bear near the entrance and sustained several scratches to his right leg, suffering minor injuries. The bear, estimated to be an adult about 1–1.5 meters long, fled the scene and has not been captured.

At around 01:20 on November 28, 2025, inside a public restroom at the east exit of JR Numata Station in Shimizucho, Numata City, a 69-year-old male security guard was attacked by a bear about 1–1.5 meters long and suffered several scratches from his right knee to his ankle, sustaining minor injuries. The bear fled the scene.
