On Saturday, July 4 at approximately 1:30 p.m., in the Shibakusachi area of Tarao, Ten'ei Village, a witness (female in her 70s) was in the living room on the first floor of her home when she observed a bear (about 1 meter in body length) in her yard.

The witness reported the sighting to the Sukagawa Police Station on June 21.
