Under the right guardrail is a river, and wet footprints continued for several tens of meters. Along the way there was a strong animal odor and the presence of a bear was felt.

A bear carrying a fawn was startled by people, dropped the fawn, and ran away. Its body length was about 1 meter.

It was in the valley on the left about 20 meters ahead, roughly 20 minutes up from the Ōtōge trailhead toward Kurodake. While I was descending, it noticed the bear bell and ran away. It didn't seem to be an aggressive individual, but please be careful.
