Around 7:30 AM on October 25, in Nihonmatsu City near Adatara Mountain Shizoe Trail, the witness observed three bears on the trail: one about 1.5 m long and two about 1 m long. The bears then climbed a nearby tree.

August 31, around 4:30 PM, on National Route 115 in Fukushima City, Tsutoyu Onsen area; witness driving toward Inawashiro observed one bear about 1 m in the northern forest.

Around 6:10 PM on August 17, in a wooded area of Nabune-yama in Inawashiro Town, a male witness observed one bear about 70 cm long walking through the brush. The bear went deeper into the brush and its whereabouts are unknown.
