Around 4:30 AM on October 11, on National Route 289 in Narudo, Tadami Town, a driver saw a bear about 1 m jump onto the road from the right and collide with the vehicle. The bear then fled toward the south into the mountains.

Around 6:15 AM on October 7, on a road in Tadami Town, a witness driving observed a bear about 1 m crossing the road from south to north. The bear then entered the north hillside forest.
