A bear was on the national highway. Body length about 1.6 m. The bear was startled by a car and left toward the northern mountains. There are no buildings nearby.

Posted: Just after exiting a tunnel, glimpsed a bear with half its body in the roadside grass; it looked at us. It turned back into the grass before we could pass. At least 1 m long.

About 1 km from Tamagawa Dam, on the road, a bear about 0.8 m long was seen running toward Kazuno City; perhaps noticed a car and moved to the hillside.
