On Saturday, June 6 at 1:45 p.m., a witness (male, in his 50s), while on duty at a private facility on the premises in Kawageta Aza Tennozaka, Inawashiro Town, spotted one bear (about 50 cm in body length) on the facility grounds. The bear then left heading south into the brush.

Around 18:00 on the 15th, a single bear about 1 meter long was sighted crossing National Route 49 in Nakayama, Atami-machi, Koriyama City. No injuries were reported, and police are patrolling the area.

On Wednesday, March 25 at approximately 2:30 p.m., in Kubohata area, Yawata, Inawashiro Town, a witness driving a vehicle spotted one bear (body length about 30 cm) running across a fallow rice field. The bear then entered the woods on the west side of the same fallow field.
