A bear (one) was observed from a residence’s second-floor window standing up and sitting down in the rice field near the community center, lingering there for about 30 minutes. (It appeared as a dark object resembling a bear, but there was no confirmation that it was indeed a bear.)

A caller, while walking on Prefectural Route Shibukura-Tsukawa Line, sighted one cub coming toward the road from the forest road Awase-Katada Line. After being driven away with a noise-making deterrent, it returned the way it came and headed back toward the mountains.
