Around 6:00 p.m. on April 6, in the Oishi area of Aizumisato Town, a witness (female in her 70s) spotted one bear (approximately 1 m in body length) in a field. The bear appeared to enter the mountain.

At about 09:45 on the 7th, a man in his 40s spotted a single bear approximately 50 cm long on the grounds of the management building at Seseragi Green Park in Ietō, Aizumisato Town. The bear ran northeast and its whereabouts are unknown; no human injuries were reported. Police have urged local residents to remain vigilant.
