On October 28 near Toyama Elementary School in Asaminami Ward, Hiroshima City, broken persimmon trees were found and an investigation determined they were caused by a bear. Evidence such as eaten persimmons, claw marks, and droppings were confirmed, and the ward urged people not to leave household garbage or vegetables outdoors.
