Hachiman jinja shrine

On Tuesday, June 30 at approximately 12:10 p.m., in the Tsuruga Aza Funagamorihigashi area of Ikki-machi, Aizuwakamatsu City, a witness (male, in his 60s) observed two bears walking in the brush on the east side of a facility (one about 1 m in length, the other about 50 cm). After being seen, the bears walked south through the brush; their subsequent movements are unknown.

On Wednesday, June 24 at approximately 2:20 p.m., in Mishima, Yawata, Ikki-machi, Aizuwakamatsu City, a witness (male, in his 30s) spotted one bear (about 1 m in body length) walking north along a river that flows north-south while he was walking. After being seen, the bear headed south along the river, and its subsequent movements are unknown.

While at home, sighted three bears in the nearby forest (each about 1 m in body length).

At around 21:40 on the 11th, a male driver spotted a single bear (about 1.5 meters long) standing on the road in Ikkimachi, Aizuwakamatsu. The bear's subsequent movements are unknown, no damage has been reported, and police are patrolling the area by patrol car and advising residents to be cautious.
