On Monday, June 1 at approximately 10:51 p.m., in a residential area of Tatsuda, Sasakino, Fukushima City, a witness (female in her 50s) spotted a single bear (about 1 m in body length) leaving the area, moving from east to west toward the residential neighborhood as she was about to stop at a convenience store. The witness saw the bear while driving.
