While driving toward the Akita area, a roughly 1-meter brown bear (Tsukinowaguma) was on the left shoulder of the road; it entered the mountains as I passed by.

A bear about 1 m in size was near the south side of the Teradate Community Interaction Center. It passed by the center and ran toward the north embankment road. It descended from the embankment road toward the riverbank and was lost from sight.
