Around 14:00 on April 16, a person driving on National Route 459 in Kenogamine, Hibara, Kitashiobara Village, Fukushima Prefecture, sighted one bear about 50 cm long. The bear left for the woods afterward; no damage has been reported, and police together with the village office are urging residents to be cautious (the area was also reported to have a sighting on the morning of the 15th, indicating two consecutive days of appearances).

At around 07:30 on April 15, a passerby driving along National Route 459 in Kitashiobara Village (Hibara Kengamine) observed a single bear approximately 1 meter long standing in the woodland beside the road. No injuries or damage were reported.

Around 15:15 on December 16, a single bear about 70 cm long was sighted in woodland near a villa area in Hibara, Kitashiobara Village, Fukushima Prefecture. No injuries to people have been reported. Police are patrolling the area and have provided information to the village office to urge caution.

Around 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 2, on a village road in Hibara, Kitakata City, a witness driving saw a bear about 1 m on the road. The bear's direction of departure after that is unknown.
