Choshigataki Falls

Around 09:30 on April 25, 2026, four bears were sighted in Inawashiro Town, Tamayoshi Honari-otsu (near Tatsuzawa Fudo Falls); passersby observed them up in a tree. No damage to people or property has been confirmed so far; the police have warned residents and, in coordination with the town office, have stepped up patrols.

While visiting the Tatsusawa Fudōtaki parking lot for sightseeing, they observed four bears (body lengths unknown) in the nearby mountain forest (in the trees).

Around 7:40 a.m. on November 14, on the Monzen-Green Line (Kōnan Green Line) along the Green Line near Honari, a witness saw two bears about 50 cm long crossing from west to east on the main local road; the bears then headed into the forests on the east side.
