At around 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, in the Niiza area of Nihonmatsu City, a witness (male in his 50s) saw one bear (approximately 1.5 m in body length) wandering on the grounds of nearby residential properties from his home. The bear then moved south and left toward the brush.
