On the morning of November 4 a single bear was seen near the junction of National Route 13 and the Prefectural Tendo–Kahoku Line in Tendo City, Yamagata. The city warned residents to stay away from places where animals could hide and asked anyone who spots the bear to promptly report the time, location and direction to the city office or police.
