Around 15:30 on November 3, 2025, a bear at a house in Iwadeyama, Osaki City, Miyagi Prefecture moved under the eaves and ate all the persimmons that had been hung to dry. Police used firecrackers and rocket fireworks to scare it away, and no injuries were reported.
