At around 07:10 on December 4, 2025, a single bear approximately 150 cm long was sighted near Sarusawa, Togoshinai (near the Nagamae bus stop) in Hirosaki City; it crossed the road and headed toward Mount Iwaki. No injuries or damage were reported.
