A bear that had remained at the Akita City wholesale market since the 22nd was captured around 3:00 PM on the 23rd, about 28 hours later. The city set a trap baited with rice bran and honey; although the bear was initially wary, it was eventually captured, and the flower auction on the 22nd was canceled.
