At around 00:15 on the 12th, a woman in her 30s driving on Route 459 in Bishamondō, Nihonmatsu City, Fukushima Prefecture, spotted a single bear about 1 meter long cross the road. The bear disappeared into a northerly woodland afterward; no injuries or property damage have been reported and police are conducting patrols in the area.
