Between March 25 and 27, bears were sighted at several locations in Inawashiro Town, Fukushima Prefecture. A roughly 0.3 m individual was seen in a fallow field at Hachiman Kubohata, an about 1 m individual was seen in a paddy at Yamagata, and two roughly 60 cm bears were observed in a chestnut tree on a residential property in Mitsuwa; no human injuries were reported.
