Around 20:20 on December 18, a single bear about 1 meter long was sighted by a woman driving on the road along the west bank of the Yogogawa in Shigenori, Takatsuki-cho, Nagahama, Shiga Prefecture. Around 01:00 the same day the same bear reportedly bumped into a man walking there, but the man was not injured. Police are urging residents to be cautious and are conducting patrols.
