On Thursday, May 21 at around 8:00 a.m., a witness at home observed a bear (about 1 m in length) through a window on a village road in Nakamori, Obira, Hirata Village. The bear’s subsequent direction is unknown, but multiple bear footprints were later found about 100 meters southwest of that location.
