No. 11 — Utanobori Central sighting location (August 11, Heisei 8 [1996]) Around 16:10 in the afternoon, a brown bear about 1.5 m in body length was sighted at the roadside approximately 500 m toward Otoineppu from Medobetsu Bridge on the Esashi–Otoineppu Prefectural Road.
