Around 5:43 PM on May 23, in Ku-tsu-za-mae, Kitakata City, on a municipal road, three bears (about 1.0 m for one and about 0.8 m for the other two) emerged from the west-side forest while a vehicle was passing. The bears then crossed the road to the east forest.
