Around 07:00 on February 23, two bears (about 1.0 m and 0.5 m long) were spotted on the riverbank of the Tadami River at Babamae, Kawai, Takago-cho, Kitakata City, by a man driving. The bears ran east toward the Tadami River and no injuries were reported. Police have urged nearby residents to be cautious.
