At around 17:10 on the 9th, students and teachers inside a classroom at a middle school near Yachim-mae, Hashirata, Sukagawa City, saw a single bear about 1.5 meters long running east to west across a nearby rice field. The bear later left toward a river to the west, and no injuries or property damage have been reported.
