At around 17:30 on October 31, 2025, an Asian black bear (about 1.4 m long) crossed the Hachinohe Expressway near the Ninohe Parking Area in Iwate Prefecture. The driver braked sharply to avoid a collision, exited at Ichinohe Interchange and reported the incident; no injuries were reported.
