คำอธิบาย

In September 2009 an Asian black bear unexpectedly appeared at a popular area of Mount Norikura and attacked people along the trails and in the parking area. Those who rushed to help an initially attacked woman were also hurt, and ten people were injured in total. The bear, distressed and with no cover in the alpine terrain, ran into the parking area and bus terminal and was eventually confined in a shop. Subsequent investigations pointed to the site conditions and human responses as factors that contributed to the scale of the incident.
