Around 13:30 on April 1, a woman in her 50s spotted a single bear about 1.5 meters long on the riverside embankment in Hirano, Iizaka-machi, Fukushima City. The bear ran south along the embankment; no human or property damage has been reported, and police are patrolling the area by cruiser while the city notifies residents to take care.
