Around 13:30 on the 18th, a man driving on a prefectural road in Kyūishihara, Nihonmatsu City, Fukushima, spotted a bear about 1 meter long crossing the road from north to south. The bear reportedly entered the forest afterward; no damage has been confirmed in the area, and police are patrolling by patrol car and urging residents to be cautious.

Around 5:46 a.m. on June 28, on National Route 459 in the 4-chome area of Dake Onsen, Nihonmatsu City, a witness (a man in his 40s) observed a bear about 50 cm long crossing the highway from west to east while driving.
