On Monday, June 1 at around 10:00 a.m., in the mountain forest west of Tofukuji Temple in Misonomiya, Yamato-machi, Kitakata City, a witness (female in her 40s) saw a bear (approximately 1 m in length) in the mountain forest to the north while walking. The bear then left toward the southern mountain forest.

Around 7:00 a.m. on the 23rd, a man driving in Kitakata City, Takagō-machi (Babamae, Kawai) sighted two bears (about 1.0 m and 0.5 m long) walking on the Tadami River riverbank. The bears ran east toward the river afterward; no injuries were reported and police have urged nearby residents to be cautious.

While driving a vehicle, I witnessed two bears on the riverside (roughly 1 m long by 1 m and about 0.5 m by 1 m).

Around 7:00 a.m. on Monday, February 23, in the area within Baba-mae area, Kawaimachi, Kitakata City, an eyewitness (male in his 20s) was driving a vehicle when two bears were seen walking along the riverbank (one about 1 meter in length, another about 50 cm). The bears then ran off to the east.

The bears ran east toward the Tadami River, no injuries were reported, and police have urged local residents to remain cautious.
