Around 06:30 on April 10, 2026, a single bear about 1.5 meters long was sighted near the management office of Okameyama Forest Park in Tomiya City, Miyagi Prefecture by a person driving by. The bear left the area afterward; no injuries or damage have been reported. The park is closed until safety checks are completed.
