Around 2:59 PM on August 2, in Mitsuwa, Inawashiro Town, train crew on the Shinetsu Main Line observed from a train traveling from Koriyama toward Aizu-Wakamatsu a bear about 70 cm crossing the tracks from north to south; the bear left into the southern forest.
