Around 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, February 22, in Harada-kochi, Shioe, Minamiaizu Town, an eyewitness (a man in his 70s) reported seeing a bear wandering through a rice field on his way home, about 1 meter in body length. The bear then entered the forested mountain area to the north.
