Around 11:30 a.m. on the 22nd, a single bear about 1 meter long was sighted in a paddy field in Harada Ko area, Shioe, Minamiaizu Town. No damage has been reported; the bear reportedly entered the forested area to the north and police are keeping watch nearby.
