A passerby spotted an adult bear around 06:55 near the pasture by the Tohoku Agricultural Research Center southeast of the Hanonokizawa railway crossing, and at about 09:25 an adult bear was seen eating something like fruit in Kitayama 1-chome; the bear is not currently present and police are issuing local notices.
