On March 26, around 23:07, a single bear about 0.5 m long was sighted climbing a slope on the grounds (north side) of Kitashiobara First Junior High School in Kitayama, Kitashiobara Village. The bear ran off afterwards and no damage has been confirmed; police are patrolling the area and urging residents to be cautious.
