Around 8:00 AM on May 28, in Kawamata Town, Yamikiya area, trapped in a trap for wild boar, a male Asian black bear about 1.2 m long and weighing about 50 kg was captured. Because homes and school routes were nearby and there was potential for human injury, it was euthanized. This was the first bear captured in Kawamata Town.
