Around 09:30 on January 30, in Kitashiobara Village a report was received of a 'small bear' roaming; officials found a bear about 50 cm long in a garage. It did not leave after being driven off, and at 15:45 it was captured by an emergency gun hunt using a tranquilizer gun and was culled.
