Around 08:00 on November 22, 2025, a resident in Kaminoyama's Kamioi area spotted a single bear about 80 cm long in a residential property climbing a persimmon tree and eating fruit, and reported it to the Kaminoyama police. When officers arrived the bear had already left; the scene was a residential area near farmland.
