Around 14:30 on November 8, a reporting team found a single bear about 1 meter long eating persimmons in a tree behind a private home in Kawabe Wada, Akita City. The team notified the police; about 50 minutes later officers arrived, instructed residents to stay indoors and carried out noise-based dispersal efforts.
