[31] 19:45 A driver traveling on National Route 235 from Tomakomai toward Atsuma witnessed one animal about 2 m in body length, resembling a brown bear (Higuma), crossing the highway from north to south (left to right). The bear passed under the expressway and ran off into the woods on the south side.
