At around 08:30 on February 15, a bear about 50 cm long was spotted inside a private storage shed in Oyanagi, Yanaizu Town, Fukushima. Municipal staff captured and euthanized the bear about 2.5 hours later; there were no injuries. The same shed had been reported as sighted on the afternoon of the 14th as well.
