On Tuesday, May 5 at approximately 11:25 a.m., in the area of Uratō, Kitaizumi, Haramachi Ward, Minamisōma City, on the major prefectural road Haramachi–Ebio–Sōma Line, a witness (male in his 60s) traveling north by car sighted one bear (about 1.5 m in length) crossing the road from east to west.
