On the night of August 17, 2025, a Japanese black bear (Tsukinowaguma) was sighted near the Koma-sandō approach to Mount Ōyama in Isehara City. A cable car attendant encountered the bear about 6 meters away; roughly 100 tourists were guided down to the foot of the mountain by city staff and there were no injuries.
