Around 9:45 PM on August 17, along National Route 115 in Arai, Fukushima City, a male in his 30s driving toward Fukushima City from Inawashiro Town encountered two bears (both about 1 m long) that darted out from a grassy area on the right side of the direction of travel; the bears then departed.
