Around 13:00 on the 24th, an adult bear about 1 meter long was sighted near the Tanaka Honke Museum in Koyama, Suzaka City, Nagano Prefecture, and police have warned nearby residents to be cautious. At about 08:40 in the morning, a cub was also reported near the main gate of Suzaka Elementary School, about 500 meters north of the museum; no human or property damage has been confirmed.
