Just before that, on April 28, 2026, a bear about 1 m long was seen near the south side of Takubono Swamp in Yokote Fuke ootstsutsumi, then ran west after appearing about 200 m from the nearest house.

The busiest ground has been around Yokote 2-chome, Yokote 3-chome, Kamiuchi machi, and Inooka, with other reports also coming from Yokote Omonogawa machi Dochiji and Yokote Yamanouchi Hiranosawa.
